Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of CookSense Cooking AI, Kitchen AI, and CookSense Pro.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using CookSense, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, unless a different agreement is presented by Apple.

2. The CookSense service

CookSense provides cooking knowledge, search, visual knowledge relationships, AI-assisted questions, and cooking-failure diagnosis. Features may change as the service develops.

You may use core features with a guest profile. Optional Apple or email binding can be used to associate data with an identity for recovery on another device.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device, Apple ID, and linked email account.

3. AI and cooking limitations

Kitchen AI responses are generated from models and available cooking references. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your ingredients, equipment, location, or circumstances.

  • Verify important instructions before acting on them.
  • Follow local food-safety guidance and appliance instructions.
  • Do not use CookSense to determine whether spoiled or contaminated food is safe.
  • Do not rely on CookSense for medical, allergy, nutritional treatment, or professional dietary advice.
  • Use appropriate care around heat, blades, pressure, electricity, fire, and raw ingredients.
You remain responsible for cooking decisions, ingredient choices, allergy checks, food handling, and the results of using any suggestion.

4. CookSense Pro subscriptions

CookSense Pro increases the available Kitchen AI usage allowance. Available plans, prices, billing periods, and benefits are shown in the app before purchase.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID after purchase confirmation.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your Apple ID may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Deleting CookSense does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refund requests and billing disputes are handled by Apple under App Store rules.

We may change future subscription pricing or benefits as permitted by Apple. Any required notice or consent will be handled through the App Store.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use CookSense for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive activity.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, access controls, subscriptions, or security measures.
  • Interfere with the service, probe infrastructure, or distribute malicious code.
  • Use automated systems to extract substantial parts of the knowledge library without permission.
  • Submit content that infringes rights or exposes another person’s sensitive information.
  • Misrepresent AI-generated output as guaranteed professional advice.

6. Ownership and third-party services

CookSense software, design, branding, and original knowledge presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service.

CookSense may display licensed images, link to third-party services, or rely on Apple, RevenueCat, cloud infrastructure, email, and AI providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms.

7. Availability, disclaimers, and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, error-free AI output, or a particular cooking result.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CookSense is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service, cooking outcomes, reliance on AI output, or third-party services.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Consumer rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, address abuse, or comply with law. You may stop using CookSense at any time.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app, this page, or another appropriate channel. Continued use after the effective date means the revised terms apply.
