Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CookSense processes information when you use the mobile app, Kitchen AI, account binding, and CookSense Pro.

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to CookSense Cooking AI and its related support services. “CookSense,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of the CookSense service.

2. Information we process

Guest and account identifiers

CookSense creates a device-based guest identifier so core features can work without mandatory registration. If you choose to bind an account, we may process an Apple account identifier, an email address, and an optional display name.

App activity

We process favorites, recently viewed knowledge, account-binding status, and related product interactions needed to provide and restore your experience.

Kitchen AI content

Questions, cooking symptoms, and other text you submit are transmitted to provide AI answers or diagnosis results. Do not include sensitive personal information in AI prompts.

Subscription information

Apple and RevenueCat provide subscription product, entitlement, renewal, and transaction-status information. We do not receive full payment card details.

Technical information

Our infrastructure may process IP addresses, request timestamps, device and app version information, and operational logs needed for security, delivery, debugging, and abuse prevention.

3. How we use information

  • Provide knowledge, search, Kitchen AI, diagnosis, favorites, and history.
  • Link optional Apple or email identities to a guest profile.
  • Verify CookSense Pro access and restore purchases.
  • Send requested email verification codes.
  • Secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

CookSense does not use your information for cross-app advertising tracking and does not sell personal information.

4. Service providers

We use service providers only for functions needed to operate CookSense. Depending on the feature and deployment, these may include:

  • Apple for app distribution, Sign in with Apple, subscriptions, billing, and refunds.
  • RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.
  • Google Cloud for API hosting and managed infrastructure.
  • Cloudflare for content delivery, object storage, DNS, and security.
  • Amazon Web Services for transactional email delivery through SES.
  • AI service providers for processing Kitchen AI requests and generating responses.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence.

5. Retention

We retain account links, favorites, history, and subscription status while needed to provide the service or until deletion is requested. Security and operational records may be retained for a limited period for reliability, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

AI inputs are processed to generate a response. Retention by an AI service provider may vary according to the provider configuration and applicable service terms.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Use the core app with a guest profile instead of binding an account.
  • Choose whether to bind Apple or email.
  • Clear browsing history in the app.
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple.
  • Delete your CookSense account and associated service data from the Profile screen in the app.
  • Request access or correction by contacting support.

We may request reasonable verification before acting on an account-related privacy request. Some records may be retained where required by law or necessary to resolve fraud, security, or billing disputes.

7. Security, children, and changes

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No network or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

CookSense is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision.
